My dad happened to be giving an donation on behalf of Safeco Insurance to the YMCA of Seattle at the Seahawks vs 49ers game on Christmas eve. I lucked out and got to go on the field with him. Here are some photos from the game. Not bad for my first Seahawks game.

Ocean Beach is one of my favorite places in Southern California and it reminds me of Bellingham. One reasons why is focus on locally owned businesses. The O.B. community has actively opposed chain businesses opening in Ocean Beach, and only a few exist there. In the 1970s, community protests led a chain of donut stores to drop its plans to open a store in O.B. Anyways, here are some snaps from the Ocean Beach’s main landmark the pier.
